Michael Anthony Trumps, age 59, died Sunday, May 1, 2011. Graduate of South High School, he received a degree in education from The Ohio State University in 1974. Preceded in death by father, Jack Reynolds and brother, John Trumps. Survived by wife of 34 years, Susan; daughter, Melissa (Jim); grandchildren, Seth and Sydney; mother, Edith; brother, Richard and a beloved extended family. Mike took pride in his work and had a long career in route sales and merchandising with several companies. He was a history buff and enjoyed travel to national parks and historical sites. A former avid runner, he completed several Columbus marathons. Mike also coached a softball team and enjoyed golfing with friends. In recent years, he liked walking for fitness and playing sports with his grandkids. A kind and playful person, Mike was always a favorite with children and pets. Memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Capital Area Humane Society, 3015 Scioto-Darby Executive Court, Hilliard, OH 43026. The family will have a private service with Newcomer Funeral Home SW Chapel.
