Michael "Tony" Anthony Brintlinger, age 65, of Grove City, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, February 8, 2024 surrounded by his family. His battle with ALS in recent years showed his courage in facing adversity with a smile. Despite the challenges, Tony remained dedicated to his faith, came out a hero and stayed strong until the end. Following graduation from Westland High School in 1976, he played minor league football for the Columbus Winds. He then began his career as a sales representative with Frito-Lay. He retired in 2018 after nearly 30 years. Tony loved people and valued friendships and relationships throughout his life. He was known as a kind person and easily made friends with everyone. He enjoyed spending time playing, watching and coaching sports. Most weekends were spent at Ohio State football games, riding his Harley-Davidson or cheering on his children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews at their sporting events. Tony will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, brother and friend. Tony was preceded in death by his parents Jean and Dale Brintlinger; brother David Brintlinger; and nephews Shane Brintlinger and Tyler Brintlinger. Survived by his children Audra (Darryl) Jordan and Conner (Natalie) Brintlinger; grandchildren Alivia, Levi, Charley, Carter, Cale and Isabella; siblings, Karin (Mike) Yoder, Kathy (Terry) Cooper, Bev (Pete) Turley, Bill (Katie) Brintlinger, Darrell (Jeanie) Brintlinger, Tim (Denise) Brintlinger and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at LEAVE A MARK CHURCH (4818 Parsons Ave, Columbus, OH 43207) on Thursday, February 15 from 4-8pm. The funeral service will be held at 10am on Friday, February 16 at LEAVE A MARK CHURCH followed by interment at Concord Cemetery (6244 Hoover Rd, Grove City, OH 43123). In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The ALS Association Central & Southern Ohio Chapter, an organization Tony felt strongly about.
