Michael Jonathan Dodgens, age 33, passed away on Friday, August 25, 2017. He was born in Greenville, South Carolina and resided in Columbus, Ohio.
Michael will be lovingly remembered as a gifted musician with a zest for life and adventure. His family will always remember him for his big tender heart and great sense of humor. He will be greatly missed but has left his family with the hope and assurance of a reunion in heaven.
He is preceded in death by Robert Bruce and Elizabeth Forsyth, his maternal grandparents and Clifford and Leander Dodgens, his paternal grandparents.
He is survived by, Mary Dow, his birth mother, Pat Norman, Mary's mother, Elizabeth Friend, his half-sister and Douglas Dow, step father. As well, he is survived by his adopted parents, Mike and Madelaine Dodgens and siblings, Laura Dodgens (Piqueras), Nathan Dodgens, and Amy Roy. In addition, he is survived by his nieces and nephews, Maialen, Eric, Jasmine, Alexander, and Olivia.
