Michael E. Mathews (Mouse), 61, Columbus, passed away Monday, April 19, 2010. He was born in Columbus, OH on January 25, 1949, to Charles H. and Vesta (Spears) Mathews and is preceded in death by his wife, Angelina (Straquadine) Mathews; father, Charles H. Mathews; brother, Kenneth Mathews. Survivors include his mother, Vesta (Gene) Murphy; daughter, Michelle (John) Smith; son, Michael (Celista) Mathews; sister, Cheryl (Ben) Reynolds; brothers, Robert (Mary) and Gerald (Katherine) Mathews; grandchildren, Ashley, Tyler, Joshua, Hailey, Aidan, Brandon, Sarah and Robin; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. He was a US Army Veteran, avid car enthusiast and a member of "Outsiders Car Club". Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 24, 2010, 2-4PM & 6-8PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel, 3047 East Dublin Granville Road, Columbus, OH with the Funeral Service on Sunday, April 25, 2010, 3PM at the funeral home. Interment will be Monday, 11AM at Union Cemetery.
