Michael Haines, 66, of Grove City, passed away Sunday, July 26, 2009 at Grant Medical Center. He was born October 12, 1942, in Columbus, son of the late Rolla and Sarah O'Grady Haines. In addition to his parents, Michael was preceded in death by his brothers, Robert and Richard Haines; sisters, Rose Story and Sally Wobbrock. He was a member of the Grove City F&AM Lodge # 0689, former coach and president of the Grove City Baseball Assoc., coach of the G.C.K.A., and retired as an electrician from Local #683 with over 41 years of service. Mike is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Barbara Struck Haines; daughter, Chris (Bryan) Taylor; son, P.J. (Jesse Armfelt) Haines; grandchildren, Avery, Ellie and Jake Taylor; brother, Daniel Haines; beloved dog, Mac and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Thursday, July 30, 2009 from 4:00-8:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City. Memorial service will be Friday, July 31, 2009 at 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Inurnment will be in Grove City Cemetery.
