Michael J. Henry, 66, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on Sunday, May 13, 2012.
He attended Aquinas High School from 1960 to 1963 and graduated from Bishop Neumann High School in Williamsville, New York in 1964. Michael lived in Sarasota and Bradenton, FL from 1984 to October of 2011. He retired in 2005 from the National Guard with 25 years of service in the Guard and U.S. Army. He was a member of American Legion Post 0266 Sarasota, FL, Knights of Columbus, Sarasota and a member of the N.A.U.S B15 Club in Columbus.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents, John and Geneva Henry and sister, Joanne Miller. He is survived by sisters, Peggy (Charlie) Egbert of Ashville, OH and Billie (the late Edward) Colston of Columbus; brothers, J. Patrick (Camille) of Orchard Park, NY and James (Suzan) of Columbus; brother-in-law, Robert Miller; nieces and nephews, Stephanie Triplet, Rick (Debbie) and Jeff (Ann) Romaine, Linda (Buddy) Reeb, Stacy (Dan) Thompson, Chris (Carmen) Colston, Mark (Sarah), Kevin, Aaron and Zackery Henry; and special friends, Janice Henry, Janet Perkins and Rick Benshoof.
Memorial Mass Thursday, May 17, 2012 at 10:30 am at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 2364 W. Mound St., Columbus, OH 43204. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Michael's memory to the Aladdin Shrine, 3850 Stelzer Rd., Columbus, OH 43219 or charity of your choice.
