Michael James Fillinger, age 50, Columbus, OH, went to be with Jesus Aug. 15, 2008, at Mt. Carmel West Hospital. Born in West Mansfield, OH, Feb. 27, 1958. Member of the Neil Avenue Baptist Church, former employee of COVA. Preceded in death by father, Charles and brother, Bill Fillinger. Survived by life partner of 30 years, David Garner of Columbus; mother, Freda Coats of Bellefontaine; sisters, Mary Jean (Allan) McGee of Reynoldsburg, Rita Jo Kazmierczak of Columbus, Carol (Don) Myers of Kenton, Peggy (Dave) Harris and brother, Bob (Diana) Fillinger both of Rushylvania, OH; and many nieces, nephews, extended and cherished church family and friends. He will be sadly missed by his babies Max and Simon. Michael loved gardening, cleaning, and his Jesus. Visitors may call at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio, Tuesday, August 19, 2008 from 2:00PM-4:00PM and 6:00PM-8:00PM. Service will be held Wednesday, August 20, 2008 at 10:00AM, Dr. Bill Reid officiating. Interment will follow at Alton Cemetery.
