Michael Patrick Murphy, 50, of Hilliard, passed away Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at Dublin Methodist Hospital. He was born November 22, 1959, in Columbus . He is survived by his wife, Jackie Murphy; mother, June Rees; son, Eric; daughter, Sydney; sisters, Shelly Robson, Melanie Bricker and Mary (Joe) Capehart; grandfather, William Higginbotham; mother and father-in-law, Helen and Jack Unger; nieces and nephews Tony, Tarah, Cole, Drew, Luke and Meleah; beloved dogs, Peer and Chloe . Michael was preceded in death by his grandmother, Caroline Higginbotham. Visitation will be Sunday, January 17, 2010 from 1:00-4:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway Grove City. Funeral service will be Monday, January 18, 2010 at 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be in Concord Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Capital Area Humane Society, 3015 Scioto-Darby Executive Court Hilliard, OH 43026.
