Michael Anthony Simmons

Michael A. Simmons, age 63 of Columbus, passed on Sunday, December 27, 2020 at his home. Mike was born on July 23, 1957 in Ironton, Ohio, the son of the late Thomas L. and Betty (Hall) Simmons. He is survived by son Scott Simmons of Columbus, son JJ (Brooke) Simmons of West Jefferson, and daughter Kacee (Cody) Barratt of El Paso, Texas; grandchildren Michaela Simmons, Jordan Simmons, Jarrett Simmons, Kassandra Simmons, Chase Simmons, Sophia Simmons, Bella Barratt, and CJ Barratt; brother Thomas (Claudia) Simmons and sister Kathy (Marty) Dotson; nephews Alvin (Misty) Simmons and Marty (Sherry) Dotson; nieces Summer Simmons and Felicia (Steve) Murdock; numerous great nieces and nephews whom were very fond of him. Mike was an electrician in the US Navy for several years. Upon fulfillment of his military duties, Mike held jobs that allowed him to work with his hands and with people. He was an evangelist for many years, possessed the gift of gab in his sales positions, and could be found completing home improvement projects for his family and friends.
