Michael McCoy Sr., 56, of Columbus, passed away Sunday, April 24, 2011 at the Kobacker House. He was born April 25, 1954, in Columbus, son of the late Morris and Mary Chafin McCoy. Michael was a member of the Eagles Aerie 2252, Amvets Post 89 and NAUS 15A. He is survived by his wife, Teresa Trace McCoy; sons, Michael (Kari) McCoy Jr. and Clinton "Andy" McCoy; brother, Tim (Jan) McCoy; sisters, Patty (Michael) Eggleton and Christy (Stan) Kirtlan; grandchildren, Morgan, Michael III "Trip", Allysea and Ionnia; father and mother-in-law, Jerry (Carolyn) Miller; brother's-in-law, Pat (Wendy) Trace and Mike Trace; sister-in-law, Kathy Trace; personal medic and barber, Todd Righter. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 27, 2011 from 4:00-7:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd. Columbus, with an Eagles service beginning at 7:00 PM. Memorial service will be Thursday, April 28, 2011 at 10:00 AM at Buckeye Christian Church 1528 London Groveport Rd. Grove City. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to HomeReach Hospice, c/o OhioHealth Foundation 180 E. Broad St. Columbus, OH 43214.
