Ann (Mildred) Lafyatis, 92, passed away on Friday, June 24, 2022 in Columbus, Ohio.
Ann was born on December 29, 1929 in Licking County, Ohio to the late Harold and Dorothy Baker Gutridge.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Paul Lafyatis.
Ann is survived by her children, Gregory (Carole) P Lafyatis, Linda A Lafyatis, Robert A Lafyatis, Nancy (Mark) D Cummings, David (Jessica) S Lafyatis; grandchildren, Diana Lafyatis, Paul (Jessica) Lafyatis, Jenifer A Eilers,Ellen C Eilers, Hannah L Lafyatis, Joseph Lafyatis, Allison Lafyatis, Joy Cummings, Robert (Megan) Cummings, Annika Lafyatis, Jocelyn Lafyatis; great-grandchildren, Anna Lafyatis, Ben Lafyatis, Sam Lafyatis, Caiden Rugh, Maddox Rugh and a host of family and friends.
Ann was a loving and beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was a Registered Nurse, very active in her church as a Sunday School and Vacation Bible School Teacher. She led Girl Scout Troops for many years, and loved fishing, camping and gourmet cooking. Ann was a genuinely fun person to be around and loved playing games with her family, especially Scrabble and Euchre. Her family will miss her dearly.
Special thanks to the Hospice of Central Ohio for their wonderful care and compassion over the past several months. There are truly angels among us.
