Mildred M Cowans

Mildred M. "MeMaw" Cowans, 86, London, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, March 9, 2012, surrounded by her loving family. Mildred was born in Columbus, OH on November 15, 1925, to Rade and Anna Mary (Galovich) Grgich, and is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Howard J. Cowans; brothers, Milton, John, George and Peter Grgich; sisters, Mildred and Violet Grgich.

Survivors include her daughters, Karen (C.J.) Long; Jeannie (Ralph) Popp; sisters, Dorothy (Howard) Bailey and Sophia Grgich; grandchildren, Micheal (Sallie) Markham, Heather (Bill) Davis, Dawn (Scott) Speakman, Johnny (Mandy) Long-Verne, Eric (Jennifer) Popp, Heidi (Nate) Binford, Peggy Jo Long, Nathan Long; 16 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins. Millie retired from Timken Roller Bearing after 38 years of service and loved to fish and work in the garden with her husband John.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 13, 2012, 2-4 PM – 6-8 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH with the Funeral Service on Wednesday, March 14, 2012, 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Green Lawn Cemetery, Columbus, OH.
