Mildred E. Taylor, 97, passed away on May 27, 2021. She was born on February 26, 1924 in Fries, VA. Mildred retired from Westinghouse, Columbus, OH. She sang with a country western band.
She was preceded in death by her parents, David Cooper and Lura Mervin (Inscore) New, daughter, Rebecca "Becky" Caldwell, sons-in-law, Victor James and Vallie Young.
Surviving family includes children, Tedi Young, Betty James, Giles (Maria) Dalton, grandchildren, Vikki Young, Cathi (Mark) Bell, Valerie (Jason) Hicks, Steve (Tammy) James, Eric (Susan) James, Mark (Carolina) James, Victor Jr. (Shelly) James, Rick (Lisa) Caldwell, Randy (Becka) Caldwell, Bobbie (Cindy) Caldwell, Ian (Nicky) Dalton, son-in-law, Robert Caldwell, 35 great-grandchildren and 26 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 4-7pm, Thursday, June 3, 2021 at Newcomer Funeral Home, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH 43123.
A funeral service will begin at 11am, Friday, June 4, 2021 at the funeral home.
