Millie Jo Smith

Millie Jo Smith (Landman), age 86, passed away on February 25, 2025. 

Millie was born December 5, 1938 in Jeromesville, Ohio to Harold and Laurel (Batdorf) Landman.

Millie enjoyed walking, baking cookies and watching sports, especially the Cleveland teams.

Millie received her bachelor’s degree from Ohio University and worked in various secretarial roles throughout her career, including many years as an administrative secretary at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. Upon retiring, she then kept busy working at Marshall’s Department Store.

Millie will be loved and remembered by her son, Steven Landman and her daughter, Lisa Smith; as well as her three grandchildren: Madeline Laurel Smith, Max Gabriel Smith, and Macy Isabella Smith-Bowen; and her great-grandchildren, twins Georgia and Jase Smith. Millie, happy to be called “Nana”, was most proud of her grandchildren and enjoyed attending their sports and activities while they were growing up. She was very happy to be a great-grandmother.

 Millie will also be remembered by niece, Holly Koron (Ron), and nephew, Brett Landman (Sudha), as well as cousins: Cheryl Freeborn (Don), Dixie Jones (Bill), Barbetta Leidigh (Thom), Gary Fulk (Johnette), and Max Fulk (Karla).

Millie was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Laurel Landman, and her brother, Larry Landman.
