Milton Buhacevich of Grove City, OH passed away September 14, 2012 after a brief illness in Katy, TX. Milton was born to Peter and Katherine Buhach in Baltimore, MD on September 28, 1926.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Maxine; parents; brother, Rudolph; and daughter, Edith Katherine.
Milton is survived by sons, Roderick and John (Synda); daughters, Tina (Barry) Evelo, Nancy and Joni; stepchildren, Judy (James) Halley, Joyce (Mike) Jennings, Debbie Messer, and Joe (Terri), Roger and John (Linda) Brown; grandchildren, Peter, Kristen, David, Amber, Angel, Joseph, Derrick and Brandon and several other family members.
He proudly served in the US Navy during WWII, enlisting at the age of 17. As a Radioman on a Destroyer in the Pacific, he was involved in the search for the USS Indianapolis and after the war, participated in the Bikini Atoll A-bomb testing. He was also recognized as an accomplished boxer within the fleet.
Milton retired from Nationwide Insurance after 30 years and then continued employment with the Columbus Museum of Art for several years.
Memorial Service Monday, September 24, 2012 at 6pm with visitation one hour prior at Newcomer Funeral Home, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH.
