Myrtle E. Fisher, 76, of Darbydale, passed away Monday, June 30, 2008 at her residence. She was born October 13, 1931, in Chester, WVa., daughter of the late Cecil and Audrey Carpenter McGown. In addition to her parents, Myrtle is preceded in death by her son, Paul William Fisher; daughter, Julie Padgett; brothers, Sonny and Butch McGown. She is survived by her husband, James E.D. Fisher; sons, J. David (Reba), Charles and George Fisher; sisters, Ruth (Dick) Wright and Barbara "Bobbie" Owens; ten grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 2, 2008 from 5:00-8:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home S.W. Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City. Funeral service will be Thursday, July 3, 2008 at 1:30 PM at the funeral home, with Rev. Edward Martin, officiating. Interment will be in Concord Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Harrisburg Methodist Church, 1160 High St. Harrisburg, OH Messages of condolence may be left at www.NewcomerFamily.com
