Myrtle Olivia Johnson, 93, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away on Monday, April 5, 2021.
Myrtle was born April 29, 1927 in Covington, Kentucky to Ira and Minnie (Roley) Harper.
She enjoyed Crossword puzzles, watching 90's situation comedies, playing with her great-grandchildren and studying scripture as one of Jehovah's Witnesses.
Myrtle will be deeply missed by her children; William L. Johnson sr. (Lisa), Valletta J. (Edward) Green, James E. Johnson and Laura A. Johnson; grandchildren Jordin B. Johnson, William L. Johnson Jr., Jasmine Green, Marcus (Passion) Green, and Jennifer Johnson; great-grandchildren Markise Johnson, Trebien Johnson, Tyler Joiner, James H. Johnson, Miles Green, and Mason Green; nieces Phyllis Jordan (Harper), Rosella Siffel, Joann Siffel-Maddox (Greg), Denise Johnson-Wilson (Billy); nephews Rayford Harper (Linda), Charles Siffel (Cindy), special mention to beloved sister-in-law Betty Johnson (Brown) and great nephew Christopher Edgerton.
Myrtle was preceded in death by her husband Willie H. Johnson, father and mother Ira and Minnie Harper (Roley), brothers Charles and Rayford, sister Susan Siffel (Harper) and grandson Herbert B. Sharp III and beloved niece D'Jaris Edgerton (Johnson).
Visitation will be Friday, April 16, 2021 from 5:00pm to 6:00pm at Newcomer NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin Granville Rd. Columbus. Memorial service will immediately follow visitation at the funeral home with Brother Carl McGee as Chairman with Brother David Sullivan conducting the memorial along with Brother Danny Blackwell reading the obituary.
