Myrtle Smith

Myrtle Elizabeth Smith, 88, of Columbus, passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at Wesley Glen. She was born January 24, 1923, in Salina, KS, daughter of the late Stephen and Lucy Beil Hoyne. In addition to her parents, Myrtle was preceded in death by her husbands, Capt. Bert Alley and Clifford Smith; two brothers and two sisters. She was a member of the sewing guild and the white cross at St. Luke's U.M. Church. Myrtle retired from Walker Research. She is survived by her son, Patrick (Jane) Alley; daughters, Lisa (Charles) Van Sant, Linda (Don) Wallick and six grandchildren. Memorial service will be Saturday, May 28, 2011 at 11:00 AM at the Church of the Good Shepherd U.M Church 6176 Sharon Woods Blvd. Columbus, OH. Arrangements have been entrusted to Newcomer Funeral Home NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd. Columbus.
