Nadine Johnson, 83, of Grove City, OH went home to be with the Lord on April 12, 2013. Born in Kentucky she lived there as a child before moving Columbus with her husband Ora to raise their family. Nadine was member of the Lakestreet Church of Christ in Roseville. She enjoyed holidays, cooking and being with her grandchildren. Nadine loved and cherished her family, devoting her life to raising her children and grandchildren. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and sister.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ora Johnson, son, Billy Johnson, brothers Bobby and Otis Saxton and her sister Emma Saxton King.
Nadine is survived by her daughters, Debora Johnson, Pamela Johnson and Theresa Moore and husband Scott, two sons Edsel Johnson and wife Cathy, Ora Johnson Jr. and wife Sheila; grandchildren, Timothy (Sharon) Johnson, Sue (Billy) Hope, Chod Johnson, Raquel (Fred) Hernandez-Benitez , David (Stacey) Hernandez, Stephanie Moore, Joshua Sayre, Ashley Sayre, Olivia Burlingame, Samantha Moore; and great-grandchildren, Aniel, Wian, Jaydon, Kristen, Kaitlyn Johsnon, Zachary Jacob Benitez, and Sophia Gabrielle Hernandez.
A celebration of Nadine's Life will begin on Monday, April 15 from 5-8 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, Southwest Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH. Family will gather on Tuesday from 10-11 with a funeral ceremony beginning at 11AM in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery and Park, Galloway.
