Nancy Emma Burtch

Nancy Burtch, Age 84 passed away suddenly but peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday, October 27th, 2023. She was at peace and content at the end and was able to talk to her husband Jim and her children Raymond (Scott) DiPaolo, Judy (DiPaolo ) Montgomery, Rita DiPaolo and Linda (DiPaolo) Arthur and son-in-law Geoff Arthur. She enjoyed good health and activity until the end and she always gave of herself to help friends and family in need. If you were related to Nancy and needed a helping hand, she would do whatever she could for you. She had a strong sense of familial loyalty and dedication.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents Everett Merrill and Leta Ruth as well as brothers Rex, Carl, Paul, Lee, Ray, Jerry, and sisters Ann (Dent) & Phyllis (Jaynes). She was number 11 of 13 children in her family and is survived by her three beloved grandchildren Morgan Montgomery, Merrill and Addie Arthur as well as siblings Clara (Callahan), Nyla (Johnson), Mary (Thomas) and Dean Grabill.

Nancy was a proud graduate of West High School in 1957 where she was a cheerleader and honor roll student. She spent her professional life in different administrative support roles and after meeting Jim 50 years ago, married and moved to Ostrander to enjoy a more peaceful and quiet life. She loved watching the wildlife out of her windows and always had a fire going in the winter. She loved tea and snacks and sharing them with her grandpup Pixie (who misses Grammie very much). Nancy's faith was foundational to her life. She loved studying the Bible and examining different forms of religious life. She has always had a close relationship with God and is surely with him now. She will be missed by many.

On November 7, 2023 services will be held at the Newcomer Funeral Home in Powell, Ohio. Visitation will be from 12pm-2pm, with a small memorial service immediately following. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the cause of your choice in Nancy's name.
