Nancy Anne Kinman, a cherished member of her family and St. John's Church community, passed away peacefully at her home in Grove City on February 15, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on January 10, 1933, in Columbus, Ohio, she lived a life filled with love, laughter, and dedication.

Nancy graduated from West High School in Columbus. She spent four fulfilling years working for Motorists Mutual and later dedicated 19 years of her career to Lazarus. Her work was not merely a job; it was a testament to her hardworking and devoted nature.

Known for her loving disposition, Nancy possessed a humble spirit and a great sense of humor, which made her a joy to be around. Her patience and ornery charm endeared her to all who knew her. She was deeply committed to her family, faith, and various hobbies, which included reading, crocheting, gardening, and tending to her beautiful flowerbeds. Fishing was another beloved pastime that brought her much joy.

Nancy was very devoted to her faith. She loved being involved with her church in many capacities including, Small Group, Sarah Circle, Homebound Communion, OWLs, Altar Guild, LSS Food Pantry. Over the years she was also involved with Bible School, Meals on Wheels, Adventure Club, Kitchen Committee. 

Nancy is survived by her beloved children: Cindy (David) Dye, Gary (Cynthia) Kinman, Julie (Morgan) von Lohr IV, and Nannette (Rob) Shea. She delighted in her role as a grandmother to Sarah (Jason) Hostetler, Nicholas (Rachel) Dye, Nancy Shockley, Betsy (Bobby) Wycoff, Zachary (Lindsey) Kinman, Jessica (Rick) Nash, Morgan (Erica) von Lohr V, Andrew (Jennifer) von Lohr, Amanda (Kyler) Denbow, Taylor (Allison) von Lohr, Daniel (Stephanie) Potokar, Katy (Laura) Potokar, Anna (Katie) Ohle, Rebecca Potokar, and step-grandchildren, Jamie Basiewicz, Christine and William (Kelsey) Richardson III. Over the years, she was blessed with 39 great-grandchildren who brought immense joy to her life. In addition to her children and grandchildren, Nancy is also survived by her sister, Carole (John) Herold, and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by Carl W. Kinman, the love of her life for 69 years, as well as her father, James Earl South, mother, Jeanette Elizabeth Martin South, and her infant brother, James South, her in-laws, Carl E. Kinman and Marie E. Kinman, her sister, Norma Garish, and her great-granddaughter, Charlotte Ohle.

Nancy's legacy is one of devotion, humility, and the deep love she cultivated within her family. The family reflects on the blessings they received from her love and guidance throughout their lives.

Visitation for Nancy will be held on February 23, 2025, from 12:30 PM to 4:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest, located at 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH 43123. A funeral service will take place the following day, February 24, 2025, at St John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3220 Columbus St, Grove City, OH 43123, starting at 10:00 AM.

Her family takes comfort in knowing that she has left an indelible mark on their lives and remains forever in their hearts.
