Nancy "Mimi" Strauss, 75, passed away August 12, 2011. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilbur "Bill" and Berniece (King) Strauss. Nancy is survived by her companion, Jack Frost; daughter, Lynnette (the late Arthur) Newkirk; sons, David (Susan) Laferty Jr. and Michael Laferty; sister, Bonnie (Jerry) Bateman; brother, Bill (Tammy) Strauss; grandchildren, JD Laferty, Jason Laferty, Brooke (Chaz) Krueger, Brandy (Brent) DeRoche and Melissa Laferty; great-grandchildren, Jaci and Trinity Laferty; as well as other family members and special friends. Nancy was a 1955 graduate of West Jefferson High School. Memorial Service Saturday, August 20, 2011 at 2 pm with visitation one hour prior at Grace of God Lutheran Church, 1000 Demorest Rd., Columbus, OH 43204. Pastor Mark Diemer will officiate. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Nancy's memory to The Mark H. Zangmeister Center, 3100 Plaza Properties Blvd., Columbus, OH 43219. Newcomer Funeral Home, SW Chapel, was honored to serve the Strauss family.
