Nancy Whitten, 73, of Columbus, passed away Tuesday, January 27, 2009 after a 20 year battle with cancer. Nancy is survived by her husband of 50 years, Forrest D. "Wimpy" Whitten; son, Delos F. (Janet) Whitten; daughters, Linda (William) Mees, and Thelma "T.J." (Donovan Exley) Whitten; grandchildren, Jennifer, Deanna, and Christopher Whitten, Sarah (Jordan) Cramer, and William Mees; "adopted" loved ones, Karen and John Holt and family. She also had 2 sisters and 2 brothers. Visitation will be held Friday, January 30, 2009 from 2:00PM-4:00PM and 6:00PM-8:00PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio. Funeral service will be held Saturday, January 31, 2009 at 9:00AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Springbank Cemetery, Chillicothe, Ohio. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Zusman House Hospice at 1151 College Ave, Columbus, Ohio 43209.
