Naomi Ruth Verbosky, of Pataskala, Ohio, passed away in the loving arms of family with her precious kitty on her lap on March 15, 2022, due to complications from Covid-19. She was born on January 16, 1936, in Huntington, West Virginia, to the late Arthur Backus and Leora (Storey) Garrett.
She is survived by her daughters, Debra Triplett and Michelle (Shane) Vilasineekul; siblings, David (Shirley) Backus and John (Sandie) Backus; Grandchildren, Jason (Delilah) Triplett, Emily Vilasineekul, Holden Vilasineekul, and Finley Vilasineekul; and her Great-grandson, Brandon Triplett.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Verbosky; and her siblings, Lois Alexander, Paul Backus and Mark Backus.
Naomi was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She had a special place in her heart for animals, including at least three yorkies named Gretchen and one named Barkley, several rescue cats, and the occasional neighborhood raccoon, but it was her cat Callie that was her pride and joy. She had a giving heart and helped all she knew and many that she didn't. Naomi proudly served our Country in the United States Army and was Honorably Discharged. She loved God above all else and her faith was unwavering. While we weren't ready for her to leave this earth, we find comfort in knowing she is no longer in pain. Her memory will forever live on in our hearts.
The family will receive friends on Friday, March 25, 2022, at Newcomer NW Chapel, 10051 Brewster Lane, Powell, Ohio 43065, from 2-6 p.m.
