Napoleon Combs age 76 of Urbancrest passed away Sunday, February 10, 2002 at his residence. Was employed for over 23 years by Armstrong Furnace Company and retired from DCSC after 14 years of faithful service. Napoleon was an Army veteran of World War ll and received the Purple Heart, EAME Theater Ribbon, Asiatic-Pacific Theater Ribbon w 1 Bronze Star and Philippine Liberation Ribbon. Preceded in death by parents Frederick D. & Addie (Cornett) Combs; sisters Marie Higgins, Willie Grant, Mae Cornett, Ada Rhyme, Lydia Alexander; brothers Bill, Samuel and Jack Combs. Survived by wife Wanda (Gallaher) of the home; daughter Sharon (Charles) Combs-Wright of Columbus; sons Derek (Teresa) Combs and Gregory (Sherry) Combs both of Urbancrest; grandchildren Derek A. and Kimberly Combs; great-grandson Terry Glenn, Jr.; sisters Sally (James) Niece, Gretta Brandon and Dorothy Adams; and a host of nieces, nephews and special friends. Visitation Thursday 6-8 p.m at NEWCOMER-FARLEY FUNERAL HOME 3047 Dublin-Granville Road. Columbus. Funeral Service will be Friday 11 a.m. at Bethel Apolstic Church of Christ 2809 Maple St. Urbancrest. Elder Richard Lyles officiating. Interment in Green Lawn Cemetery.
