Neal E. Detrick, 76, of Columbus, passed away Friday, July 8, 2011, surrounded by his loving family. Neal was born in Springfield, OH on May 17, 1935, to John F. and Donna A. (Burnworth) Detrick and is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Robert. Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Janie (Sutton) Detrick; daughter, Pamela (Tyler) Wilson; sons, Tim (Michelle), Steven (Michelle), Christopher (Jane) Detrick; grandchildren, Kayela, Blair,
Elliot, Megan, Rachel, Cassady, Stephany, Lara, Maggie; sister-in-law, Ruth Detrick; niece, nephew and many friends. Neal retired from OSU after 30 years. He is a member Grace Lutheran Church of Westerville. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 13, 2011, 4-8PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel, 3047 East Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, OH with the Funeral Service on Thursday, July 14, 2011, 11:00 A.M.
