Nelson Rice, age 42, of Monroe, NC, passed away on Tuesday, January 19th, 2010. Nelson was a supervisor for a Monroe County Community Shelter in Monroe, NC and worked closely with area churches. He enjoyed science fiction, fishing, video games, and was an avid Buckeyes fan. He will be dearly missed by his parents, Jim and Patsy Rice, his sister, Kristina Rice all of Obetz, and Grandmother Gertrude Landis of Columbus. Memorial service will be Saturday, January 30th, 2010 at 1:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH 43128. Memorial donations in Nelson's honor may be made to the Monroe County Community Shelter, 311 East Jefferson Street, Monroe, NC 28112.
