Ses Ngorhl, passed away peacefully on the 24th of July at the age of 105.
Born July 7, 1918 in Phuom Prey Thla, Srok Romlong Ket Takeo, Cambodia, she was the daughter of father, Ouk Ses and mother, Nop Keo.
She spent the majority of her childhood and adulthood on her farm raising cattle and doing vigorous amounts of labor, while also caring for her younger sibling.
Married to her husband, Voun Khem, she gave birth to her son, Voun Touch and her four daughters, Voun Thuy, Touch, Roeum, and Torwy. Her husband passed away unfortunately, leaving her behind to raise her five children on her own.
A survivor of the Khmer Rouge, she immigrated to the United States with her three daughters in 1984 and spent her years building many pagodas in the US and Cambodia.
Ses Ngorhl was a devoted mother and grandmother, who had the utmost love for all of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was kindhearted, nurturing, and was admired by many others. We are saddened by the loss of such a beautiful and kind soul.
We would like to thank our family and friends that came to pay their respects for the life of Ses Ngorhl.
