Nicholas Ford, 92, passed away April 22, 2024 at Capri Garden Nursing Center in Lewis Center, Ohio. Born in Paris, France on July 5, 1931 to the late Joseph and Berta Funka. In addition to his parents, Nicholas is preceded in death by his grandson, Dr.Gregory May.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Nora B.(Queen) Ford;children Elizabeth (the late John) Grubb and Steven (Julia) Ford; grandchildren Kristen, Kevin, Alexis, Meghann, Amanda, and Tyler; great-grandchildren Collin, Destiny, Hadley, Cedric, Charlotte, Maddison, and Grant.
Nicholas came to the United States in 1949. He traveled the US until he met and married Nora in Columbus,Ohio in 1959. Nicholas worked at the old Gambrinus Brewery in German Village, Federal Glass and retired from Beaver Press.
He enjoyed watching old black and white movies and going out for dinner with his family.
The family would like to thank the wonderful care Nicholas received from Capri Gardens and Bella Hospice. Private family services will be held.
Donations may be made in Nicholas' memory to the Alzheimer's Association.
