Nicolas Bukaczyk was born Dec. 8, 1936, in Ukraine.
As a young boy, he and his family left Ukraine for Germany. Years later, they immigrated to Argentina before finally settling in Chicago. During a trip to Philadelphia to visit relatives, he met Helen Dosiak and in three months moved to Philadelphia to solidify a union that would last 54 years, until Helen's passing in 2019. In 2009, they relocated to Pickerington, Ohio, to be closer to their daughter and son-in-law, Rosanna and Michael, and granddaughters, Alexandria and Larysa, whom he loved dearly. They also had one son, Nicholas Bukaczyk who lives Quakertown, Pa.
He worked as a medical-scope aritsan for 35 years. He loved to drive, and he and Helen traveled extensively throught the United States. He was a kind and gentle man and always gave of himself without taking. You could always find him in his rocking chair, either in the garage or out on his front porch, with a cigarette in hand.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.
He is survived by his five siblings, brother Michail and sisters Theresa, Olga (Pedro), Sister Francis and Sister Ivanna; two children; two granddaughters; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended relatives and friends.
