ALLEN
Norma J. Allen 74, Columbus, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 15, 2012. Norma was born in Keystone, WV on January 17, 1938, to Erastus and Lillian (Bratcher) Harris and is preceded in death by her parents; sons, Tyrone Allen Sr. and Stanley Allen; sisters, Thelma Lee Harris and Evelyn Harris; brothers, Erastus Harris Jr, Melvin Harris and David Lee Harris. Survivors include her sons, George Allen Jr. and Eric A. Allen; 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, daughter-in-law, cousins and many friends. Norma worked for the State of Ohio in the Mining Division for 35 years and was a 55 year member of the Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 23, 2012, 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM at Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church 1080 East Broad Street, Columbus, OH 43205 with the Funeral Service at 11:00 AM. Dr. Elon Meeks will officiate. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Columbus, OH. Messages of condolence may be left at www.NewcomerColumbus.com .
