Norman Blevins, 83, of Columbus, passed away Thursday, September 2, 2010 at Abaco Nursing Facility. He was born June 14, 1927, in Cattlesburg, KY, son of the late Floyd Blevins Sr. and Lula Atkins Blevins. In addition to his parents, Norman was preceded in death by his wife of 38 years, Geneva Lucille Blevins; daughter, Carolyn Sue Walker; brothers, Thurman and Gene Blevins; sisters, Ella Payton, Ora Cantrell and Zola Walker. He is survived by his daughter, Barbara Ann Brown; son, Jeffrey Alan Blevins; brother, Floyd Blevins Jr. and his wife, Sherry; sister, Lorraine Hickle and her husband, William. Several grandchildren and great grandchildren. And beloved pet, Sandy. Visitation will be Sunday, September 5, 2010 from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway Grove City. Funeral service will be Monday, September 6, 2010 at 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Graveside services will be Monday, September 6, 2010 at Lewis County Memory Gardens in Black Oak, KY at 1:30 PM.
