Oliver "Ike" Stanford, 72, of Columbus, passed away Monday, February 1, 2010 at Doctors Hospital. He was born in Kentucky, son of the late Isaac Stanford. In addition to his father, Ike was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Jean Ruggles. He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Shirley Travis Stanford; sons, Brian (Leslie), Randy (Jennifer) and Gavin; brother, Buddy; grandchildren, Jessica, Samantha, DeAnna, Shyann, Randy, Angel and Olivia. Visitation will be Friday, February 5, 2010 from 5:00-8:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway Grove City. Graveside service will be Saturday, February 6, 2010 at 10:00 AM at Alton Cemetery, Alton Darby Creek Rd. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family. Ike was a wonderful man who will be dearly missed by all who knew him, including his best friends Bruno, Daisy and Beauty.
