Omeda Burgess, 80, of Grove City, passed away on Friday, April 24, 2009 at home. She was born in Inez, Kentucky on February 23, 1929 to the late Melvin and Rosa James. In addition to her parents, Omeda was preceded in death by sisters, Dixie Parks, and Gertrude Iseli; and brother, Roscoe James. She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, William G. Burgess; loving daughter, Karen Sue Burgess; sisters, Elizabeth Porter, and Lucy (Forrest) Bennett; brothers, Thomas (Delores) James, Norman James, and J.D. (Pat) James; and many loving nieces, nephews, and in-laws. Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 28, 2009 from 2:00PM-4:00PM and 6:00PM-8:00PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 29, 2009 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Green Lawn Cemetery, Columbus, Ohio.
