Orville Kenneth Hawkins, Jr., LPN,LISW,MSW,PhD, 65, of Lincoln, MO., passed away on Monday, June 11, 2007, at his home. He was born on May 22, 1942, at Boston, Massachusetts, a son of Orville Kenneth and Lillian Christine (Jason) Hawkins, Sr. Preceded in death by his parents and a step-son, Gregory Godwin, Orville is survived by his wife Peggy (Sample) Hawkins; daughters, Altaira "Terri" (Randy) Skipper of Conway, SC, and Renee Hawkins of Newark, OH; step-sons, Steve (Monica) Godwin and Schon Godwin; sisters, Maureen (Jesse) James and Donna (Syed S.) Ali; brother, John "Rick" (Helen) Hawkins; grandchildren, Garth and Laura DeBell, Amanda and Autumn Myers, Douglas Cross, Brandy and Drandy Skipper, Stephanie, Andrew, Zoë, Ashley, and Kevin Godwin; and 4 great grandchildren. Orville served his country honorably for 16 years in the United States Army. He was a member of the New Life Baptist Church. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 14, 2007, from 5-8 PM at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 3393 Broadway, Grove City with the service being conducted on Friday, June 15, 2007, at 12:00 PM at the funeral home.
