Orville Alva Higgins, Jr., 76, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 5, 2011 at Mt. Carmel West Hospital. He attended Grove City Nazarene Church. He was head custodian at Harmon Elementary School for 25 years and worked part-time at Ohio Auto Auction. Orville was preceded in death by parents, Orville, Sr. and Marie Higgins; sisters, Juanita Bennett and Vernena Hoffman; and son-in-law, Rex Vandermark. He is survived by wife of 55 years, Shirley; daughters, Sally (Randy) Cain and Janice Vandermark; grandchildren, Matthew and Amanda Cain and Rex Vandermark II; great-grandchildren, Logan Cain and Shyann Napper; sister Geneva Cornell; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation Tuesday, June 7, 2011 from 4-8 pm at Grove City Nazarene, 4770 Hoover Rd., Grove City, OH. Funeral Service Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at 11 am with visitation one hour prior, also at Grove City Nazarene. Interment to follow at Harrison Township Cemetery, South Bloomfield, OH. In lieu of flowers, donations in Orville's name may be made to Grove City Nazarene.
