Ozzie O. Monroe, 64, of Columbus, went to be with the Lord Friday, December 22, 2006, after a battle with cancer. He was born April 21, 1942, in New Plymouth, OH., son of the late Elmer and May McCoy Monroe. Ozzie was a lifelong professional musician (Oz and the Wizards) and also a maintenance supervisor at Carriage House. He is survived by his wife, Lonna Monroe; daughters, Rhonda (Joe) Hrabchak and Brandy Monroe; five grandchildren and one great grandchild; sisters, Rose Ruggles, Thelma Spradlin, Wanda (Bill) Spangler and Erma Bumgardner. Memorial service will be Thursday, December 28, 2006 at 7:00 PM at Sharon Woods Baptist Church, 5959 Sharon Woods Blvd., Columbus, with Larry Webb officiating.
