Parker Tyler Jarvis, 87, of Columbus and Delaware died Tuesday, February 14 after a long illness. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Parker W. Jarvis and his brother, Charles W. Jarvis. Survivors are his wife of 65 years, Ruth MacBride Jarvis; son and wife, Dr. and Mrs. Parker M. Jarvis (Bonnie) of Dublin, Ohio; daughter and husband, Dr. and Mrs. W. Frederick Rice (Nancy) of Madison, AL; former daughter-in-law, Susan Jarvis; grandchildren Parker Jason Jarvis, William Jarvis Rice and Elizabeth Rice DeMarco; and two great grandchildren. He served in the U.S. Navy during W.W. II. He was a lubrication engineer with Atlantic Richfield Company until retirement. He was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church, Columbus. Visiting hours are Thursday 7:00 - 8:30 P.M. at the church. Funeral services will be held 10:30 A.M., Friday at Grace Presbyterian Church, 5099 Postlewaite Rd., Columbus, with Pastor Leo Frailey officiating. Burial at Union Cemetary.
