PAT Hitesman, Realtor Emeritus, passed away peacefully at home during a beautiful sunset on 10/20/23. He was surrounded by loving family and beloved pets.
PAT was preceded in death by his parents Dr. Paul and Rosemarie Hitesman, siblings Teresa (Carl) Fogle and Gregg Hitesman, cousin Lisa Salyer (nee DeFourny), and stepson Christopher Spaulding.
PAT was a beloved husband and partner with Elizabeth Rose (Sweeney) Spaulding-Hitesman, Co-father to Libby Spaulding (Justin Evans) and Sarah Spaulding (Drew Edler) and an extraordinary Grandfather ("GranP") to Gregory Ozier, Annabell and Harper Evans.
PAT is survived by many relatives, who love him: Siblings: twin brother Mike (Jennay) Hitesman, sisters Georgia (Barry) MacDonald, Dolly Rigsby, Bonnie (Ron) Rapp and Deanna G. Yost-Bayens; Cousins: Marc Defourny and John (Megan) Defourny; Nephews: Paul (Katy) Rigsby, Brian and Chris Fogle, Russell (Kelley) MacDonald; Nieces: Katie (Jerry) Baker, Kristen Yost, Jackie (David) Jordan, Kelly (Dan) Cheney, Lindsay (Chris) Miller and Maggie (Conner) McCloud. Also of importance: Clancey (Ashley) Sweeney, Josephine Sweeney Rogers (Ryan Shepard), Carter Sweeney Bendure, Taylor, Jordan (Michael Bretz) and Ryan Thompson with Vera Sweeney. Extended family included Greg (Emma) Ozier, the Flowers,c Hewson and Ferman Allen families, Lakota, Maggie, Supper Club and Burned Out Boys.
PAT was deeply loyal to his family, friends, and community. He saw the best in everyone, and had the talent to light-up a room just by walking through the door.
PAT was active in the Northwest community throughout his lifetime. As a youth, PAT was an Altar Boy at St. Andrew Catholic Church, and graduated from Upper Arlington HS. He earned a Bachelors Degree from Franklin University, and was a Veteran of The United States Army Reserves.
After he began his career as a Realtor, PAT earned the honor of Real Estate Broker Emeritus in 2018.
During his career of 45 years, Pat was an OSU campus landlord and former proprietor of the popular "Mama's Pasta and Brew".
PAT achieved success in residential and commercial sales across the northwest and greater Columbus area. He was proud to work for his many wonderful Clients, and was well-respected by others in his profession.

From Delaware to Dublin, your expertise and compassion was invaluable. Your efforts and support allowed PAT to enrich so many lives, by keeping PAT in ours for so long.
Please join us in honoring PAT's life Saturday, November 18th @ 11 am at Newcomer Funeral Home on 10051 Brewster Lane in Powell, OH. Afterwards let's celebrate and remember PAT, from 1-4 pm at Rusty Bucket, 6726 Perimeter Loop, Dublin.
