Our precious mother, Patricia Marie Buchanan has completed her greatest journey of all with more courage and humor than we ever thought possible. Born January 8, 1938, she began a new journey on April 23, 2009 that she will travel with all those who have gone before her; husband of 33 years, James Buchanan and loving son, Douglas Buchanan. She leaves her daughter, Yvonne (Roger) Straight; sons, Robert (Pam) Buchanan and Troy Buchanan; grandchildren, Alexis (Tony Pyles) Straight, Kristin (Michael) Brown, Kyle Buchanan, Crystal (Aaron Drake) Buchanan and Gary Buchanan; great granddaughter, Maddison Brown; daughter-in-law, Tina Buchanan. Patti enjoyed crafting, traveling, long walks on the beach, but most of all treasured time spent with family. She could make anyone laugh at the drop of a hat without really trying. She always put the needs of others before herself, caring for those in need whatever the inconvenience to herself. Visitation will be Sunday, April 26, 2009 from 12:00-2:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, with the funeral service beginning at 2:00 PM.

Patti was an incredible person that leaves some big shoes to fill. May she and God dance continually to her all time favorite song "Old Time Rock N Roll" We love you mom, you will be missed but never forgotten.
