Patricia Rose Hughes

Patricia Rose Hughes, a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 24, 2025 at St. Ann's Hospital, at the age of 86. 

Patricia was born in Miami, Florida on February 1, 1939 to Edward and Margaret Ewers McBride. She moved to Ohio, where she retired from Chase Bank. 

Patricia will be remembered for her strength, warmth and sense of humor. She dedicated her life to her family, always there with a listening ear and warm embrace. She enjoyed traveling with her friends and family. She enjoyed spending time with her friends at Harris House, especially playing bridge. 

Patricia is survived by her children, Christine (Rusty) Nance and John (Mary Beth) Hughes. She is survived by her grandchildren, Nathan (Lianne), Blair (Lori), Emily (Chad), Sarah (Jason), Tayler (Michael), Samual (Bayley) and her great-grandchildren Kennedy, Taryn, Payton, Sutton, Isla and Brooks. She is survived by her brother Thomas (Barb) McBride of Chicago, Illinois and many nieces and nephews. 

She is preceded in death by her beloved twin, Elizabeth Myers and sisters, Margaret "Sammy" Owens and Mae Olson. 

Visitation will be Sunday, March 9, 2025 from 12:00pm to 2:00pm at Newcomer NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin Granville Rd. Columbus, OH 3231. A reception will follow at Blendon Senior Center from 3:00pm to 5:00pm 6330 S. Hempstead Rd. Westerville, Ohio 43081.
