Patricia Ann Rice (Rood)

Patricia Ann Rice (Patty) was the epitome of a fiery redhead. With a smile as big and wide as her personality, she was stubborn, crazy, silly, cool and, man was she as tough as nails. If she loved you, you knew it, and you best believe if she didn't, you knew it. She didn't tolerate stupidity, and always spoke her mind, whether welcomed or not.

She devoted 40+ years of her life to her career. Many of those she served as a Lieutenant Corrections Officer at OCI & CRC in Orient, OH.
When she wasn't at work upholding the law, she was watching every crime show she could find on TV or she was playing solitaire on her phone, once she was introduced to technology.

She joined her loving parents Maurice Edward Rood and Mae Elizabeth Rood (Cheadle) and her brother Maurice E. Rood Jr. in heaven on Wednesday December 7, 2022. She will be missed by her sister Gloria Roseberry, her children Tammy Knisley (Stephen), Marvin L. Carrel Jr. and Susan Rice (Ricky). Along with her grandchildren Rodney Knisley (Jessica), Michael Knisley (Lindsey), Trinity, Isabel, Juan Diego, and Marvin. Her great grandchildren Chelsi, Brooke, Karlee, Carson, Eli, Lane, Cole, Bella, Kallum, Beau, Junior, Milton. Numerous cousins, nephews, nieces, and extended family Horace Carrel.

Friends may call at Newcomer Funeral Home, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH on Saturday, December 17, 2022 from 2:00pm until time of service at 4:00pm with Pastor Tim Womack officiating.
