ANASTASIA
Every beginning has an end and sadly, Patti Jean Anastasia departed our world on September 12th, 2011 in her home at the age of fifty. Yet, every end has a beginning: Patti was born on June 1, 1961, in Martins Ferry, Ohio. She was the last of seven children born to Doris Makofsky, and sadly, the first to leave such a large and loving family. Patti grew as a strong and vibrant young woman and graduated as a Bellaire Big Red in 1979. A year later, she started a family of her own with the birth of her first son, Jason, followed by the marriage to her loving husband of 29 years, Jeff, and fulfilled her life with the birth of her second child, Jeffrey. Her family was her happiness and she worked at the Pactiv Corporation for 20 years to provide for them. She gave what she could, and sometimes when she couldn't. When her 3 grandchildren were born, she enjoyed spoiling them rotten because that was her duty as a grandmother. Those who knew her will surely miss her and those who loved her will always keep her close. The end is only the beginning, and her legacy lives on through the lives of those she loved the most. Patti is survived by her husband, Jeffrey P. Anastasia, her oldest son, Jason Anastasia, her younger son and her daughter-in-law, Jeffrey K. and Mary Anastasia, her three grandchildren, Jenna, Katie, and Jeffrey Jr., her mother, Doris Makofsky, her brothers, Eugene Parker, Eddie Parker, Allen Parker, and Ronnie Parker, her sisters, Joy Doyno and Linda Estep, her brothers-in-law, Archie Anastasia and Bruce Anastasia, and her sisters-in-law, Pam Jackson and Gina Vitale, her Pactiv co-workers, and many other family members and friends. Services will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway in Grove City, Ohio. Calling hours will be on Thursday, September 15, 2011 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Friday, September 16, 2011, at 11 a.m. Her final resting place will be at Sunset Cemetery in Galloway, Ohio. Patti was born, and she died, but most importantly, she lived.
