Patty J. Washburn, age 83 of Grove City, OH, passed away on February 1, 2024. She was born on October 30, 1940 to the late Floyd and Annabelle (Heskett) Carson in Columbus, OH. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by husband Charles Washburn, sisters Delia Smith and Betty Lathem. Patty is survived by son Chris (Lee Anne) Washburn, many nieces and nephews. The family would like to send a special thank you to Shaun Lathem and Steven Smith for all their love and support.
Patty spent most of her career working in the Ohio Senate and retired in 1998. She was an avid gardener, loved her family, put others before herself and watched The Ohio State Buckeyes and Nebraska Cornhuskers.
Graveside service will be held at Green Lawn Cemetery, Columbus, OH on Thursday, February 8, 2024 at 10:00am. Meet at the front office.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Ohio's Hospice, ohioshospice.org
Celebration of life will be held at a later date.
