Paul R. Currens, Age 68, Columbus, passed away peacefully at home on 06.26.09, by natural causes. Born 02.17.41, in Murray City OH. Son of The Rev. John H. & Violet (Hoffman) Currens (both deceased.) Also, predeceased by Brothers, John H. Currens, Jr., & Clarence E. Currens. A graduate of Lincoln High School (Class of '59) Gahanna, OH. Paul spent his life in the food service industry. He proudly served in the U. S. Army. Paul was an avid Bingo player. His Memory will be cherished by his Brothers & Sisters, Roy L. Currens, Ruth (Louis) Yocke, Ina L. McCafferty, all of Columbus, OH, David (Kay) Currens of Johnstown, OH & Michael (Janet) Currens of Reynoldsburg, OH, and Sister-in-law Marie A. Currens & Brother-in-law, Jack R. McCafferty both of Columbus, OH. Many nieces, nephews, grandnieces & grandnephews. Also, his memory will be cherished by his close friends and bingo pals. Viewing hours will be Monday, 06.29.09, 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, OH 43231. Funeral service will be 06.30.09 at 1:30 pm at The Havens Corners Church, 6696 Havens Corner Road, Blacklick, OH with viewing one hour prior to service. Cremation burial at a later date in Jefferson Twp. Cemetery, Blacklick, OH. In Lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to: St. Matthias Church School Attn: Tuition Assistance 1582 Ferris Rd Columbus OH 43221.
