Paul Eugene Harsh, age 83, of Columbus, Ohio, retiring to Charleston, South Carolina., passed away Sunday, June 7, 2009 at Monterey Care Center. Paul was born in Galion, Ohio March 29, 1926 to the late Lester and Golda Harsh. He served in the U.S. Navy in the South Pacific during WWII from January 1944 to May 1946. He was a member and Elder at James Island Christian Church in Charleston, South Carolina. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Hap and sister, Lou Ella Howard. He is survived by his wife, Jean; children, Paul (Pollie); Penny McCalla, Kathy (Adam) Moore, Gail (Bill) Friend; step-children, Jeni (Paul) Lewis, Jamie (Debi) Fagan, and Jill (Jerry) Willman; sister, Elaine Luscalett; and Many grandchildren and great grandchildren, including his special fishing buddy, Tyler. Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 10, 2009 from 6:00PM-8:00PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio. Funeral service will be held Thursday, June 11, 2009 at 1:00PM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Kingwood Memorial Park, Lewis Center, Ohio.
