Paul G. "Whitey" Whittaker, 74, of Grove City, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family October 17, 2011. He was born May 5, 1937 in Auxier, KY. Paul was preceded in death by parents, Ballard and Alta Mae Whittaker. He is survived by loving wife of 53 years Mary; children, Kenny (Debbie) Whittaker, Melanie (Steven) Jenkins, Jeffery (Terri) Whittaker and Melissa (Richard) Metheney; special fishing buddy, Scott Baumbusch and special friend, Ron McCoy; sisters, Joyce (Fred) Wells and Cheryl Lynn Whittaker; 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and one on the way and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Paul is a retiree of Kal Kan Foods Inc. A memorial gathering will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 PM Saturday, October 22, 2011 at Newcomer Funeral Home SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH 43123 with memorial service to follow at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Ohio Health Foundation, 180 E. Broad St. FL 32, Columbus, OH 43215-9480.
