Paul E. Gierman Jr.
September 20, 1932 — December 5, 2021
I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord will award to me.
Paul E. Gierman Jr., 89, entered into his eternal rest on Sunday December 5, 2021 and waiting for him were his parents, Paul E. Gierman Sr. and Jennifer (Hamilton) Gierman; sister, Dorothy (Gierman) Parker; son-in-law, Gary Bigler; daughter-in-law, Jennifer (Brewster) Gierman; grandson, Joshua Bigler; plus many family and friends.
Those here to celebrate his life are his wife of 65 years, Judith (Smith) Gierman; children, Amy (Michael) Kirk, Eve (Guy) Teeters, Morgan (Julia) Gierman, and Janet (Ron) Taylor; 17 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Paul was born in Lynn, Massachusetts. He served four years in the USAF where he met his future wife. He would marry Judith, who he affectionately called Kitty, in 1956. He attended Ohio University studying electrical engineering. They raised their family in Grandview Heights, Ohio. As a faithful member of Potter's House Church of God, Paul served on the board of elders, managed the sound system and other activities. He was a founding board member and volunteer at WCVO for many years doing a regular Friday night program as the Bostonian Hillbilly. Paul was a man after God's own heart.
The Homegoing celebration service will be Wednesday December 15th, 2021 at 10:30am at Potter's House Church of God, 3220 Lowell Dr. Columbus, Ohio 43204. A reception will follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Paul's memory to the Alzheimer's Association, Central Ohio Chapter, 1379 Dublin Rd., Columbus, OH 43215.
