Paul Hardesty

Paul Hardesty, age 90, passed away on January 29, 2022 at home. He was born on June 10, 1931 in Gallia County, Ohio to the late Lawson and Pauline Hardesty. He is preceded in death by his parents; loving wife of 56 years, Orpha; sons, David and Steve; and sister, Evelyn. He is survived by his son, Daniel (Danita) Hardesty; brother, Raymond; grandchildren, Nicole (David) Colburn and Heather (Roger) Shaw; great grandchildren, Harper Colburn and Barrett Shaw. He was always so proud of his blessings which were his amazing and incredible grandkids and great grandkids. Paul was a hard worker. He graduated Huntington East High School at the age of 16, he then went on to become an Air Force instructor at age 21. He worked for 48 years in the newspaper printing business. Paul retired from the Columbus Dispatch after 23 years of faithful service as a pressman. Paul earned the respect and admiration of his family, friends, and people from all walks of life. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 from 4:00pm until time of funeral services at 6:00pm. Interment will be held at Sunset Cemetery at a later date.
