Paul Elroy Lane, 82, of New Albany, OH and former longtime west side resident, passed away May 30, 2013. He was born September 29, 1930 in Galena, Ohio, the son of Wilbur and Cleo (Budd) Lane.
In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly Orr Lane; sister, Sadie Hopkin Smith; and brother, James L. Lane. Paul is survived by children, Carrie (Ron) DePew, Larry (Ellen) Lane and Paula Sue (Jeff) Gilman; step-sons, Michael (Rosemary) and Jeffrey Arn; sister, Laura Jeanne (Jim) Hoon; 11 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren, dear friends, Gary and Sharon Robertson as well as many others. Paul was a member of the American Legion, VFW, Am Vets, and former member of the Moose Lodge #11.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 4:00pm, Sunday June 2, 2013 at Newcomer Funeral Home, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00pm, Monday, June 3, 2013 at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Sunset Cemetery, Galloway, OH.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Wounded Warriors Charity through Am Vets Post 1928, 3780 West Broad Street, Columbus, OH 43204.
